Branch Manager Chad Bowman proudly served four years in the Marine Corps infantry before graduating with honors from McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. He has been a VA Loan Expert since 2004 and opened the Austin branch of Veterans United Home Loans in January 2014. He is passionate about working with fellow Veterans and teaching VA classes to spread the correct information about utilizing VA loan benefits. Chad’s role on our team is promoting the VA loan benefit, being a VA loan resource for real estate agents and Veterans, and leading our team to the highest level of service for our Texas Veteran community.
Production Manager Ryan Bray graduated from Missouri Western State University in 2005 with a degree in Business Administration. He has proudly served military Veterans at Veterans United since 2007, and in 2014, he moved his family to Texas to join our Austin team serving all of Texas. Transaction Coordinator Marcella Davis started in the mortgage industry over 15 years ago in her native Southern California. Her family relocated to Austin in 2012, and she joined our Veterans United team in April 2015. She is married to a Marine Veteran who is actively involved with Honor Flight Austin. As a licensed Mortgage Loan Originator, Marcella is making a positive impact for Veterans utilizing their VA benefits. She brings years of mortgage experience and positivity to our Austin team. Marcella is on our contract processing team taking loans from contracts through funding.
Transaction Coordinator Kelly Garcia and her family have lived in the Austin area since 2006, and they love everything Central Texas has to offer. She comes from a long line of Veterans and has proudly serves the Veteran community in any way that she can. Since becoming a licensed mortgage loan originator and loan specialist at Veterans United, she has enjoyed providing a positive and efficient loan process to our Veteran borrowers. Loan Officer Dustin Westwood attended the University of Colorado at Boulder. He was a Realtor in Colorado before relocating to Austin in 2013 with his wife and two daughters. Dustin became a licensed mortgage loan originator upon moving and has been licensed since 2016. He is honored to be able to offer his skills to assist Veterans in making the homebuying process as smooth as possible. Loan Specialist Cory Whipple has called Austin home since 1997. Her grandfather, Rex, served in the Korean War. Before joining Veterans United, Cory was a professional development coordinator at the Austin Board of Realtors for five years, where she got to know Branch Manager Chad Bowman as the instructor for the board’s VA classes. She joined our team in 2019 and has been working hard for Texas Veterans ever since! Cory currently sets up all of our new contracts and verifies documentation to prepare for our contract processing team. She also manages our local charitable giving through the Veterans United Foundation.

Our office is located in the Greystone One building at 3415 Greystone Drive, Suite 301, Austin, Texas 78731. We are on the West side of MOPAC (Hwy 1), north of Far West Blvd and south of Spicewood Springs Road/Anderson Lane. From areas north of Highway183: Take MOPAC (Hwy 1) south and exit Far West Blvd. From areas south of our office: Take MOPAC (Hwy 1) north and exit Spicewood Springs/Anderson Lane. Take a left at the first light and another immediate left onto the service road heading South. Coming from either direction, get in the far right-hand lane of the service road and take your second right onto Greystone Drive, between the Exxon gas station and Chinatown restaurant. We are the first office building on your left, immediately behind the Chinatown restaurant. You can enter the building from either side, but wheel chair accessibility is only available on the side opposite MOPAC (Hwy 1). We are on the third floor, Suite 301.
