Overall, I’d give Veterans United a 10 out of 10. From start to finish, everything was straightforward, organized, and way less stressful than I expected as a first-time buyer. Everyone I worked with actually took the time to explain things and keep me in the loop, which made the process feel solid and trustworthy. And yes, I’d definitely recommend Veterans United to friends and family. They made the whole experience easier than I thought it would be.
I am still disappointed about the mistake made by the underwriting team. I was informed by Ryan and Kelly that my first payment would not be due until May 1. However, at closing, the closing documents reflected an April 1 due date. When I inquired about this discrepancy, Ryan informed me that if I wanted the date corrected, I would have to wait until the next day to close. My wife and I had already adjusted our work schedules to accommodate the planned closing date, and if we had chosen not to sign the documents with the incorrect first payment date, we would have had to wait an additional four days to close.Aside from this issue, my wife and I had a great experience working with the loan team, and we appreciate their efforts throughout the process.
Ryan was awesome. This process spanned over the course of a year. He was always available to answer questions and quick to do so. I was very pleased with him and his service. The entire veterans United team is top notch and really did do the work to make the home buying process as simple as possible.
